Scot worked with us to schedule a quick sale of the house, due to our needs to secure the funds as soon as possible. As fate would have it, my father passed away the day before the scheduled close date which meant our standard power of attorney agreement was no longer valid. We were now dealing with securing an executor of will and the sale of the house became complicated, as we had to work through tax implications. Rather than walk away from the agreement, which NVI were well within their rights to do, they worked with us and the house closed some time in late August early September.
